Physical Therapy continues to be a safe, cost effective, and innovative treatment option for many individuals. We help people improve their quality of life, and regain their function. Here at South Texas Direct PT we value quality 1-on-1 care to help you achieve your goals and feel better. Our values and philosophy of care also translate to the precautions we are taking to ensure patient and provider safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
WHAT ARE WE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE?
Despite the current situation, our goal as healthcare providers has always been the same; to ensure and prioritize patient health and safety. Currently, we are following the best up-to-date guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and state/local authorities.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Prior to your visit we complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire evaluating risk.
DURING YOUR VISIT
Upon arrival your temperature will be taken, and you will be screened for COVID-19 exposure each time. In accordance with CDC guidelines, temperatures of 100.4°F (38°C) or greater are indicative of fever, and therefore, warrant you to contact your healthcare provider. We are more than happy to reschedule if necessary. Any temperature reading 100.3°F (37.9°C) or below is deemed safe for patient entry.
Pandemic or not, we value quality 1-on-1 skilled care and treatment. We are ensuring that your exposure to other patients is minimal to nonexistent. Only 1 patient is allowed in the treatment area and exam room. Visitors are kindly asked to remain in their vehicles.
We are complying with local laws/guidelines regarding mask usage and 6 ft physical distancing-going further with the usage of other necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). In cases that require closer contact, we will use a face shield or gloves in addition to the face masks. If you forget a face mask, we will provide you with one!
Visits are by appointment and can be scheduled by calling (956) 602-1390.
AFTER YOU LEAVE
All treatment areas are disinfected and cleaned after each visit. All towels and linens are washed/sanitized.
Our safety habit of proper hand hygiene is always practiced with hand washing for a minimum of 20 seconds after every patient contact.
